Job Description:
The Residence Manager is responsible for coordinating all aspects regarding the day-to-day operations of a residential setting for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD).
Responsibilities include:
- Carry out the mission, philosophy and valued outcomes of On Your Mark, Inc.
- Coordinate and manage the day-to-day operations of the residence.
- Ensure that the residence is compliant with all OPWDD regulations and On Your Mark policies and procedures.
- Develop and oversee individual's schedules and all activities of the On Your Mark residences ensuring they facilitate On Your Mark individuals’ valued outcomes.
- Provide on-going training and supervision of Direct Support staff across all shifts.
- Provide oversight of all services being delivered to ensure individual’s rights are being protected, not violated.
- Participate and provide oversight of medical appointments and medication administration.
- Intervene and report any incidents or suspected incidents of abuse and/or neglect IMMEDIATELY to a supervisor.
- Supervise Assistant Manager and Direct Support staff to ensure that life plan, behavior support plans, and programs are developed/implemented appropriately, and daily activities are followed as scheduled, in accordance with the needs of each individual.
- Maintain all required OPWDD and On Your Mark certifications and trainings.
- Ensure any repairs needed to house, appliances, and furniture as well as agency vehicles are completed in a timely and effective manner.
- Take proactive steps to determine potential issues and areas of improvement and communicate those, along with suggestions for solutions, to program administration and the Executive Team.
- Develop staff schedules that utilize staff effectively and provide coverage as needed during staff absences, emergencies, etc.
- Complete and maintain reports regarding data collection, incident reports, and any other reports as needed.
- Lead monthly staff meetings and attend all required meetings.
- Understand and manage household, food, and staffing budgets and individuals' finances responsibly and accurately.
- Work effectively with parents, families, and legal guardians including regular communication and responding to their needs in an adequate timeframe.
- Coordinate with all programs and communicate effectively with Administration, Care Coordinators and house staff.
- Ensure a safe and productive environment for residents and staff.
- Coordinate and communicate with all outside services; medical, clinicians, Day Program, Respite, etc.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned and delegated by Director or Executive Team.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred and/or two years proven supervisory experience in a setting that serves people with (I/DD).
- A Valid Driver's License.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good organizational and writing skills.
- Strong knowledge of residential services.
- Good computer skills including the ability to learn new software applications and teach staff new software applications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred.
- Willing and able to work flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary and as assigned.
- Available on call, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
