As a US-based warranty provider, we provide expertise in safety and homecare to our customers. Our integrated solutions meet customer needs both inside and outside the home. Inside the home, we safeguard essential systems like plumbing, heating and cooling, appliances, power surge protection, hot water heaters, and interior electrical components. Outside the home, we ensure the protection of vital lines, including water, gas, wells, sewers, electric, and septic systems. We primarily go to market B2B2C, partnering mostly with water/gas/electric utilities and municipalities to offer our product leveraging their brand for marketing and often adding our subscription fee to the water/gas/electric bill itself. Position Summary

We are seeking a Supervisor, Treasury to join our growing team.

This position is an integral component of the Accounting Operations team. Responsible for the compilation and analysis of treasury related information for Oncourse Home Solutions and the maintenance of a complete and accurate subledger & general ledger. Provides reporting support and other services to the HR, Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Tax and External Audit teams. Monitor the operation of core activities to ensure key business risks are being managed appropriately and an effective internal control environment is achieved. Increase awareness of internal controls and recommend enhancements to business processes and internal controls.

This role is based in Naperville, IL office. A regular in-office hybrid model (generally T-Th in office, M&F remote) is required, as our office environment is a key driver of our company culture and employee experience.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Prepares journal entries and assists in the facilitation of the monthly close process for the Treasury area.
  • Analyzes financial results and variances, ensuring completeness and accuracy of the general ledger and subledgers. Manage pertinent balance sheet account recs.
  • Performs key account analyses and reconciliations, including the timely investigation and resolution of discrepancies and reconciling items.
  • Manage bank accounts, credit facilities, including covenant calculations and financial statement requirements, and investments.
  • Provide management oversight for the escheatment reporting and payment process.
  • Take lead in managing the accounting side of our payment processing platform - Stripe.
  • Monitor / reconcile credit card / ACH payments processed through merchant account with bank deposits and Accounts Receivable customer transactions.
  • Provide management support for the global travel and expense program utilizing Brex.
  • Participates in the annual audits and coordination with the external auditors.
  • Interfaces/liaises with the Accounts Receivable, Financial Planning and Analysis, Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Tax, providing information for accounting and reporting matters and assistance in interpreting and analyzing financial results related to cash, including payment gateway.
  • Assists with special projects and initiatives to optimize the effectiveness of existing business applications, technologies, and systems and to build efficiencies/improvements into current business processes.
  • Assists in the refinement and maintenance of the accounting/financial policies, practices, internal controls, and operating procedures to ensure the integrity of the Company’s internal control structure.

Experience And Qualifications Of The Role

  • 5 years Corporate Accounting, treasury and/or cash management experience.
  • 3 years managing a team within Treasury / Accounts Payable.
  • Strong knowledge of auditing and internal controls.
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and the ability to apply principles and practices to accounting matters.
  • Knowledge of cash management/forecasting processes, a plus.
  • Experience with payment gateway / merchant services accounts, a plus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word), with a particular expertise in advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities (i.e., pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, SUMIFs, etc.)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with proven ability to interact effectively with internal customers, management, and external professionals (i.e., auditors).
  • Excellent analytical, systemic, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to work in teams or effectively work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on initiative, knowledge sharing, team building and decision making.

Computer Skills Needed to Perform the Job  

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word), with a particular expertise in advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities.
  • Proficiency in Oracle EBS, Brex and Stripe a plus.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Certified Public Accountant and/or MBA a plus.
