One Source Associates is a manufacturers’ representative in the electrical construction and commercial lighting industry. We represent lighting, controls, and supply lines for the territory of Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia. Our agency is comprised of four divisions—Lighting Projects, Controls & Window Systems, Electrical Supply, and Technical Service—all of which are supported by the Marketing Department.
We are seeking a full-time Marketing Assistant. In this role, you will work with the Marketing and Sales team on initiatives that support and drive sales in the electrical industry. This is a hybrid remote position. Applicants must be local to the Columbia, MD area and willing to travel in the local DMV area.
Job responsibilities include:
- Drive social media engagement and traction across all channels
- Plan and execute content aimed at a variety of customer types
- Post/share content that is relevant to varying audiences and on relevant platforms
- Analyze trends
- Create event flyers, promotional flyers, presentations, and other marketing collateral/design work as needed for the Sales team.
- Work with Marketing team to plan promotional events and initiatives to support sales team efforts
- Plan, set up, and run events, as well as conduct post-event follow-up (some travel and after-hours participation required)
- Update and maintain digital assets: company intranet, company website and landing pages, and digital line card.
- Work with Sales and Marketing to coordinate distributor marketing initiatives, promotions, and giveaways, as well as maintain a database to track funds for initiatives/promotions.
- Reset merchandising displays at Electrical Distributor locations as needed. Coordinate with Sales on product/promotional displays.
- Maintain database of what each location has for current displays and what needs to be ordered.
- Schedule appointments with each account to install, refresh, and maintain displays as needed.
- Create a regular cadence to follow up with sales team to re-evaluate branch displays.
- Attend product launch meetings and work with Marketing to update and distribute relevant content to the Sales team.
- Organize and coordinate customer trips to factories and other in-territory events.
- Work with Specification Support to maintain the fixture samples inventory.
- Assist Marketing Department with additional projects and tasks as needed, including some administrative duties.
Qualifications:
· Candidates must be energetic, outgoing, and eager to collaborate in a team environment.
· 2–4 years’ experience with digital and/or social media marketing preferred.
· Must have a positive attitude.
· Highly organized.
· Must be able to work independently.
· Must be comfortable taking initiative.
· Proficiency in Office365, particularly PowerPoint.
· Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and a strong sense of visual design is a plus.
· Strong grammar and usage skills are a must.
· Reliable transportation is a must.
