What are the responsibilities and job description for the SBA Servicing Specialist I position at Open Bank?
The SBA Servicing Specialist is responsible for assisting SBA Servicing officer with maintaining loan files updated with financial reporting requirements. The SBA Servicing Specialist II assists with SBA servicing activities, such as, filing, data entry, preparing reports, and post funding follow-up servicing of SBA loans.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY AND DUTIES:
1. Requests and updates the Bank’s tickler tracking system to ensure timely receipt of financial reports and insurance evidence from the Borrower.
2. Follow up with expired financial and insurance tickler.
3. Detect any adverse changes in borrowers.
4. Review weekly past due reports to monitor payment performance of each borrower and contact borrowers of delinquent loan via letters to collect loan payment.
5. Perform assistant functions timely and accurately, such as filing and call backs.
6. Prepares reports; distribute documents and electronic files as appropriate.
7. Organizes information and develops forms, reports, and spreadsheets to display or analyze information in useful ways.
8. Completes other administrative tasks including, but not limited to, document production and printing, photocopying, faxing, scanning, and electronic file transfer.
9. Stay informed on all policies, practices, regulations, and laws applicable to your position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or experience:
• Prior experience in banking or equivalent work experience not required, but preferred.
• Ability to retain a broad knowledge of tasks performed in accounting, loan documentation, and lending functions.
