What are the responsibilities and job description for the SVP & Senior Credit Administrator position at Open Bank?
Responsible for overseeing the overall credit administration function and the day-to-day administration of the Bank’s lending activities by assisting and supporting the Chief Credit Officer.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY AND DUTIES:
1. Preparing and reporting of Monthly/Quarterly Reports (Loan Pipelines, Loan Portfolios, Problem/Delinquent Loans, ALLL, etc.) to management and directors.
2. Reviewing and overseeing all loans recommended for approval.
3. Reviewing of appraisal reports, environmental assessment reports, and qualifications of appraisers and environmental assessors.
4. Establish, maintain, and carry out proper standards for documentation and lending operational procedures, consistent with the loan policies.
5. Maintaining, updating, and reviewing the Loan Policy; distributing of new, revised and modified policies and procedures to Lending Staff. Provide guidance and training of policies.
6. Reviewing of existing/new Credit Memorandums and credit files to ensure that underwriting and supporting documents are complete, sound, and complied with the Loan Policy and procedures.
7. Reviewing of Declined/Withdrawn Loans.
8. Assisting and supporting Chief Credit Officer for Internal and External Credit Reviews/Examinations.
9. Preparing Management Loan Committee (MLC) and Directors’ Loan Credit & Policy Committee (LCPC) agendas and minutes. Acting as Secretary of MLC and LCPC.
10. Make recommendations, as necessary from time to time, to the MLC & LCPC regarding changes in loan fee and interest pricing schedules, as well as other areas within the lending policy.
11. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations with respect to the loan portfolio.
12. Establish and maintain a training program to ensure that loan officers and lending staff members are properly educated and equipped to carry out the lending policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or real estate related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum seven years experience in lending related positions and three in a management position.
• Direct experience with regulators, auditors, and other consultants in the industry.
• Ability to retain a broad knowledge of tasks performed in the lending functions.
• Ability to analyze and organize financial information and perform complex financial calculations.
• Detailed knowledge of lending regulations, lien laws and loan documentation.
• Expert knowledge of the real estate field, including appraisals, deeds and lien recording.
