Job Overview:
We are seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Supervisor with experience in bottling and canning within the Food & Beverage (F&B) manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will oversee quality control processes, ensure compliance with food safety regulations, and lead a QA team to maintain the highest product quality standards. This role requires hands-on experience with bottling and canning operations, HACCP, GMPs, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate QA activities across bottling and canning lines to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
- Implement and monitor HACCP, GMPs, FSMA, and other regulatory requirements to ensure adherence to industry best practices.
- Conduct quality checks, line inspections, and product testing to identify and resolve any non-conformances.
- Work closely with production, maintenance, and sanitation teams to improve quality and efficiency in the bottling and canning process.
- Train and mentor QA staff on quality control procedures, food safety, and operational best practices.
- Investigate quality issues, customer complaints, and deviations, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Maintain and review QA documentation, SOPs, batch records, and compliance reports.
- Assist with internal and external audits, including FDA, USDA, and third-party certifications.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, packaging integrity, and production efficiency.
- Ensure proper sanitation, allergen control, and contamination prevention throughout the production process.
Must-Have Skills & Experience:
- 2 years of experience in a QA supervisory role within the Food & Beverage (F&B) manufacturing industry, specifically in bottling and canning operations.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, FSMA, and other food safety regulations.
- Experience working with quality control in beverage, dairy, or canned food production.
- Familiarity with laboratory testing procedures, packaging integrity checks, and sensory evaluations.
- Hands-on experience with audits, compliance reporting, and CAPA implementation.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage a QA team and work cross-functionally.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in QA software, Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP systems.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Certifications in HACCP, SQF, PCQI, or similar food safety programs.
- Previous experience working with FDA, USDA, or GFSI-regulated facilities.
