This role entails leading and supervising a team in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment and machinery in wastewater treatment facilities. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and engage in the maintenance and repair of various process equipment, including boilers, pumps, engines, and compressors.
- Conduct audits to ensure adherence to safety procedures and proper mechanical maintenance practices.
- Provide technical feedback for staff performance evaluations and coordinate work assignments.
- Plan and implement complex maintenance projects, training and mentoring team members in best practices.
- Lead the disassembly and assessment of machinery for required repairs and parts evaluation.
- Proficient in mechanical maintenance and repair techniques.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities to guide team members in their duties.
- Capable of utilizing specialized industry tools and performing complex mechanical tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of relevant safety protocols and regulations.
- High school diploma or G.E.D., accompanied by specialized training in mechanical equipment maintenance and repair.
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance on field or automotive equipment.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License.
- Desirable certifications include a Grade II or Grade III Mechanical Technology Certificate from CWEA or CMRT certification.
