Summary
The CDL driver is responsible for operating a tractor-trailer on a specific route to service accounts in handling the transport for our product and service.
Schedule
- 4 days - 10hr shifts: Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform DOT required pre-trip and post-trip inspections daily
- Safely and courteously operate a CMV and all equipment, including pallet jacks, lift gates, and handheld devices
- Prepare accurate documents, counts, and product preparation. This includes marking bags, building pallets and product grouping
- Load trucks, insuring all items are counted, loaded, and properly secured
- Learn and understand product information, company operations, and sorting procedures, and communicate this to retailers and customers
- Completion of weekly tasks in allotted amount of time.
Education/Experience
- High School diploma or GED
Requirements – Skills, Job Knowledge & Abilities
- A valid CDL class A driver's license and acceptable driving history is required
- Ability to pass DOT drug screen prior to employment
- General knowledge of air brakes, fifth wheels, and combination vehicles
- Knowledge and understanding of OBRC operations and service areas is preferred
- Ability to communicate professionally at all levels with internal and external business partners
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently throughout the day
- Professional demeanor in both attitude and appearance
