We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Manager to oversee our infrastructure and helpdesk operations within the biotech sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong IT management background, focusing on supporting biotech research and development environments.
Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee IT infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance, including servers, networks, and storage systems.
- Ensure the scalability and reliability of infrastructure to support biotech research and development activities.
- Manage cloud services and virtualization technologies.
- Helpdesk Operations:
- Lead the helpdesk team to provide timely and effective support to end-users.
- Develop and implement helpdesk policies and procedures to ensure high-quality service.
- Monitor helpdesk performance metrics and implement improvements as needed.
- Offering IT helpdesk services as needed for SSF and San Diego campus.
- Project Management:
- Manage IT projects related to infrastructure upgrades, system migrations, and new technology implementations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure IT projects align with business goals.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement and maintain IT security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, such as GxP, HIPAA and GDPR.
- Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and mentor IT staff.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management, preferably in the biotech industry.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems.
- Experience with cloud services and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent leadership and project management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards (e.g., GxP, HIPAA, GDPR).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or CISSP.
- Experience with biotech-specific software and systems.
- Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology industry experience
The anticipated salary range for candidates is between $170,000-$230,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. ORIC is a multi-state employee, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
