Network Engineer

Overview

As our Network Engineer, you will be responsible for contributing to the successful operation and maintenance of the enterprise network. This encompasses all areas of network functionality, including: availability, connectivity, infrastructure configuration, troubleshooting, security, resource monitoring, and capacity planning to support enterprise growth and the corporate business plan. You shall also contribute to the testing and implementation of new technology solutions, including cloud technologies, needed within the networking environment.

This position requires weekly on-site work in Omaha, NE.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Education

• An Associate’s degree in a computer-related/engineering field; advanced certification; or equivalent work experience

Experience

• Minimum one year responsibility managing a network environment, is preferred

Other Qualifications

• Possess excellent communication skills both written and oral      
• Able to document complex technical issues effectively summarizing issues for a range of technical and business management
• Is self-motivated, goal-oriented, a team player, and possesses proven leadership skills
• Possess excellent troubleshooting skills and ablility to work under pressure
• Possess expert knowledge of networking technology, including but not limited to: TCP/IP protocols, OSI Model, SNMP protocol, MPLS, network interface transceivers, Ethernet switches, network cabling, routers, and remote access devices
• Possess expert knowledge of system monitoring, performance profiling and tuning
• Possess expert knowledge of firewall ACL, NAT creation and troubleshooting
• Possess expert knowledge in LAN and WAN environments
• Possess knowledge of firewall management and rules administration
• Possess knowledge of network load balancing
• Possess knowledge of Windows Operating System
• Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Visio
• Possess working knowledge of Cloud technologies (i.e. Amazon Web Services)
• Able to perform job duties in a safe manner
