Key Responsibilities:
Application Reviews:
- Review and assess insurance applications and related documentation.
- Verify applicant information for accuracy and completeness.
Data Analysis:
- Analyze risk factors and insurance data to assist underwriting decisions.
- Apply underwriting guidelines and tools to classify risks.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of underwriting decisions and processes.
- Generate reports to support reviews and audits.
Communication:
- Collaborate with brokers, agents, and clients to gather and clarify information.
- Communicate underwriting decisions and provide feedback.
Compliance:
- Ensure underwriting activities comply with company policies and regulations.
- Assist in monitoring and updating procedures as needed.
Team Support:
- Provide administrative support to senior underwriters and the team.
- Help prepare presentations, training materials, and other relevant documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of property and casualty underwriting experience is required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
