Hanley Foundation, a West Palm Beach-based non-profit organization that aims to eliminate addiction through prevention, treatment, advocacy, and recovery support, seeks a Primary therapist for our women's unit. To meet the needs of all women, we are providing treatment to all women, including pregnant and postpartum women and their babies. We are looking for a compassionate clinician with strong clinical skills and experience utilizing evidence-based trauma therapy modalities to treat substance use and co-occurring disorders. Experience working with perinatal substance use disorder/co-occurring diseases is preferred. This is a full-time position at our West Palm Beach, Florida, treatment center.
As a Primary Therapist, you will provide individual, family, and group therapy, crisis intervention, and consultation services. This position requires employees to work one of the following schedules: Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday, including one late shift from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Duties & Responsibilities For a Primary Therapist
- Provide therapy services per the directives of the supervising clinician.
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations that include social histories and other required treatment documentation.
- Coordinate alcohol and drug use treatment services with the supervising clinician.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches to treat a variety of mental health conditions and substance use disorders.
- Provide and communicate aftercare recommendations to patients, family members, and the Continuum of Care department.
- Ensure all relevant information is provided to patients, family members, or the managing conservator weekly.
- Coordinate with the Clinical Director to ensure consistency of treatment.
- Conduct intakes and screenings on potential patients.
- Develop patient's treatment plans.
- Create discharge summaries and aftercare recommendations.
- Facilitate groups and lectures for patients.
- Conduct individual therapy sessions weekly for patients on caseload.
- Attends staff meetings as scheduled and as needed.
- Report all alleged incidents of abuse or neglect following all state standards and accrediting bodies.
- Ensure that records are accurate and timely, following Hanley Foundation policies, and are available for audits.
- Protects patient’s rights.

- Maintain patient/potential patient confidentiality per Hanley Policy.
- Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills.
- Experience with perinatal (pregnancy and postpartum) mental health and substance use disorders.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and experience working with trauma populations.
- Experience with evidence-based treatment approaches for mental health and substance use disorders.
- Knowledge, experience, and competence in the specific areas of adult treatment, adult co-morbid complications, and family systems theory.
- Knowledge and experience utilizing the 12-step Philosophy.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to cultural competency and providing therapy services to a diverse patient population.
- Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft products and network components.
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, focusing on mental health and substance use disorders.
- Florida State license to practice as a therapist (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, MCAP)
- At least one (1) year of experience working in a substance use treatment facility.
- At least one (1) year years of experience providing clinical services to individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders.
- Work experience in perinatal (pregnancy and postpartum) mental health and substance use disorders is preferred
- Work experience in a 12-step immersion program is preferred.
- If in recovery, one (1) year of continuous sobriety is required.
