What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenace Technician position at Orion Property Group?
Orion Property Group is looking for an energetic Maintenance Technician for one of our communities in Topeka! The Maintenance Technician will perform routine grounds keeping and general maintenance as well as skilled repairs including: HVAC, electrical and plumbing maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess a "can-do" attitude and is a self-starter.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain grounds and common areas
- Perform all assigned work orders properly and promptly, doing it right the first time
- Maintain, diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing (copper, PEX, PVC), HVAC, boiler, water tank, carpentry and other building systems
- Appliance installation, diagnoses and repair
- Drywall repair, exterior and interior carpentry repair, caulking and painting
- Supplemental snow removal
- Work on-call rotation and be available 24/7 for emergency response as needed
- Regularly inspect building structures, rental product, pools, parking facilities and grounds to determine needed cleaning, repairs or renovations
- Safeguard shop equipment and inventory through proper use, maintenance and storage
- Ensure compliance to Company standards, product manuals and applicable laws, e.g., Fair Housing, Landlord Tenant, Local Building Codes, OSHA and EEOC
- Other tasks and duties as assigned

- Must have own hand tools
- Must have reliable transportation

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
