Position Summary:


The Loan Operations Strategy Support Analyst – AVP provides advanced administration, support and analysis for the Bank’s key software applications to include the core data processing system, FIS. Responsible for reviewing current automated systems and initiating action to correct inefficiencies as well as assisting other departments in gaining efficiencies from full utilization of existing system capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:


SYSTEM INTEGRITY

Using a combination of standard system-generated reports and custom queries, identify out-of-balance conditions, data inconsistencies, and illogical system coding. On a daily basis, verify manual changes and other system corrections/updates. Review approvals to ensure new loans have been coded properly in the system. Review daily variance reports to confirm all changes made to existing loans. Work closely with the Director of Operations- Loans as weaknesses or gaps in current processes are identified. Process keyword changes when system updates are needed. Serve as the department expert for bank control, loan interface tables, and all tools that enable mass updates to core system data.

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT

Work with end-users bank wide to determine needs and current methods. Make recommendations and implement initiatives to improve efficiency, increase productivity, and lower costs. Needs and recommendations are not limited to any one system and may include interfacing one or more OTB owned or licensed software product. Assist in automating manual processes and data management requests using bank resources.

REPORTING

Develop reports to fulfill the information needs for business areas using various reporting tools such as the Data Warehouse, Business Objects or various applications to extract data for reporting as needed. May be required to design reports of advanced complexity with minimal assistance.

PROJECTS

Support or manage special projects as needed. Participate on project teams to design business rules, practices, and processes to support business objectives. Assist in the implementation of key technology initiatives, including overseeing the design and testing of new features and products, and provides end-user support for complex issues. Some projects may extend beyond this position’s normal job functions.


Qualifications:


Knowledge acquired through an advanced level of training, including configuration tools and specific application training. Advanced knowledge of FIS Systems or similar outsourced banking systems is preferred.

Candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Systems Analyst and a minimum of 10 years of banking experience with a strong knowledge of operations, systems, policies and procedures, and related compliance issues. Position requires understanding of system interdependencies and familiarity of all bank departments.

Position requires analysis, design, development and testing of system enhancements. Proficiency in Microsoft office applications with an aptitude for self-learning.

Position requires a high level of internal and external contacts to evaluate and make recommendations on complex and varied issues. Strong interpersonal skills are needed to deal effectively with others to maintain a positive rapport within the organization. Works with all levels of staff and functions as contact with Vendor support staff to resolve complex issues.

The ability to work under minimal supervision requiring independent judgment in the interpretation of existing procedures and recommendations of alternative procedures and work routines. Ability to work under tight time constraints and deadlines. Work requires a high level of mental effort. PC work is required for extended periods of time.

Essential Duties:


Coordinate specific work tasks with personnel from applicable departments to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information; report pertinent information to immediate supervisor; compile information as necessary or directed and provide data to appropriate Bank personnel; respond to inquiries relating to the particular area and requests from clients, other Bank personnel, etc., within given time frames and established policy.

Attend regularly scheduled coaching and counseling sessions held by supervisor to achieve the outcome of improved communication, action plan development, positive feedback and performance improvement.

Abide by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment that is free of sexual harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place; support risk management practices and overall safety and soundness and the Bank’s compliance with all regulatory requirements. Ensure that the department and all personnel adhere to the same; perform tasks that are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job which may be altered or redesigned depending on individual circumstances.

Ability to reach destinations within the Orrstown footprint at all times is required. Ability to work and report to the employer’s physical work location(s).

Work Environment:

Work is performed in an office setting with little to moderate exposure to noise, heat, dust or other adverse factors. Working extended hours may be required as needed. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
