X-Ray Lead - Gainesville

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensures weekly schedule is complete and accurate for radiology coverage
• Monitors equipment status and logging any irregularities
• Assists the supervisor in overseeing daily quality assurance checks and monitors that proper procedure is followed
• Monitors and records radiology wait time
• Assigns room coverage for main radiology
• Ensures all x-ray rooms and staff are prepared for Radiation Control Inspections
• Makes daily calls to satellite offices to remain proactive
• Ensures lunch coverage and schedule rotations to avoid overtime
• Schedules x-ray examinations and special procedure exams
• Copies films, after the front desk has received payment
• Documents and maintains daily patient x-ray exams as requires by the State of Florida rules and regulations
• Trains new Rt’s and basic machine operators
• Assists Radiology supervisor with monitoring all departmental stats
• Maintains department stock of injectable medications
• Assists physician during special procedures ensuring proper sterilization procedures are followed
• Orders supplies and equipment to ensure that stock is kept at a required level
• Assists in filing, preparation of x-ray jackets for clinic, when down time permits
• Assists the radiology front desk when necessary
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment, adhering to OSHA requirements
• Assists in the development of educational programs for HCC radiology students and PA’s and nursing students from USF, HCC and other technical schools
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• A.S. or A.A. Degree
• A minimum of 2 years in related field
• A member in ARRT
