What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Pharmacy Technician position at Ortiz Pharmacy?
Welcome to Ortiz Pharmacy, a family-run business with a rich history dating back to 1930. Our story begins with Victor S. Ortiz, R.Ph., a newly licensed pharmacist filled with enthusiasm to serve his community. He started his journey at Meier’s Pharmacy, nestled on the corner of Houston and Frio, a place that later relocated to Commerce and Frio. His commitment to healthcare remained steadfast through all these transitions.
In 1956, Victor S. Ortiz took a leap of faith and established Ortiz Pharmacy. His zealous love for community healthcare was contagious and inspired his son, Victor C. Ortiz, R.Ph., who, like his father, became a licensed pharmacist 37 years later in 1967. The tale didn't end there; the next generation, represented by Victor C. Ortiz’s daughter, Alejandra Ortiz, Pharm.D., continued the family legacy, earning her pharmacist license in 2004, marking another 37-year milestone.
Presently, Alejandra and Victor C. Ortiz are at the helm of Ortiz Pharmacy, working diligently side by side, preserving and strengthening the Ortiz Pharmacy legacy that has thrived for over 50 years.
At Ortiz Pharmacy, we take immense pride in the close-knit relationships we've nurtured with our patients over the years. We're moved by the unwavering loyalty of many who've been with us since our inception, and we feel honored to be the healthcare choice for numerous families across generations.
