What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Services Representative position at Ozark Prosthetics and Orthotics?
Our patient services department is the first point of contact for our patients. Our company strives on providing the highest quality of care and support for our patients. Patient Representatives must be able to work in a fast pace environment along with our prosthetic and orthotic practitioners and other records departments. The position available to be filled will have direct patient contact and provide insurance coverage information based upon the service(s) provided. Our representatives must be able to demonstrate communication with fellow employees, be responsible for accountability and have efficient problem solving skills while filling job duties.
Responsibilities:
- Answer phones promptly and efficiently assist our clients needs.
- Communicate effectively with fellow employees and management to complete our operational goals.
- Provide client quality assurance and complete error free records during daily duties to meet company standards.
- Patient Representative duties include:
- 1. Scheduling patient appointments over the phone and through direct contact. 2. Data Entry by correctly entering and generating orders. 3. Updating the client’s records in a timely manner by scanning documents and entering data. 4. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Other basic responsibilities, as needed to assist the office.
- Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of computer based systems and phone operation.
- Knowledge of medical insurance and basic medical coverage criteria.
- Ability to multitask in order to meet deadlines.
- Resolve issues and trouble shoot tasks in order to provide fast client relief and understanding.
- Strong communication skills with fellow employees to meet company goals.
- Ability to walk short distances within the office to assist in rooming patients and taking basic measurements of height and weight.
- Notice:
- The job offer is an entry level position. Training will be provided on site with our staff.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
