SUMMARY: Responsible for delivery and invoicing of product in accordance with Company guidelines/policy. Home daily, no overnights.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Perform the check out for the product on delivery truck as beginning inventory, ensure that count agrees with supervisor’s count, sign, and complete inventory paperwork, close and lock all bay doors.
- Complete pre-trip to include inspection of vehicle, check fuel, oil and water levels of vehicle, check brakes, tires, and lights, adjust all mirrors for safe operation of equipment, check and secure the hand cart.
- Service all customers scheduled for the day.
- When arriving at an account, greet the decision maker whenever possible, review all POS to ensure it is clean, make note of any uncompetitive activities for later discussion with supervisor.
- Responsible to unload product from truck onto a two-wheeler for transport into the Customers location.
- When leaving a customer location all attempts should be made to correct any minor service issues.
- Maintain product quality by reviewing the date codes on inventory for out of date product. Rotate product. Clean and maintain the selling area, maintain proper merchandising standards. Fill any coolers, racks, displays, or beverage shelving in all areas of account.

Requirements
COMPETENCIES: Good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skill.
Follow good housekeeping practices. Follow/comply with all safety guidelines, wear designated PPE.
Be properly attired when arriving at work to include – proper uniform (clean and pressed), hat (Coke identified only), black hard toe polished shoes (no tennis shoes), be clean shaven with hair well groomed, and good personal hygiene.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must have a Valid Class “A” CDL license.
- Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required. One to two years of route sales work experience a plus.
- Language Skills: Ability to read. Ability to respond to Customer and employee inquires. Good communication skill required.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions supplied both written and verbal.
- Computer Skills: General computer skills required.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Class “A” CDL license, current vehicle liability insurance, and driving record within MVR policy guidelines.
- Other Qualifications: Ability to operate a manual/powered pallet jack to lift/move product.
TRAVEL REQUIRED: Required daily.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch/kneel bend and reach.
The employee will be on feet for multiple hours, moving, bending, lifting, stacking, un-stacking, squatting, and stretching in displaying product. Helpers cannot be used.
The employee must lift, carry, push/pull and/or move up to 10 to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision.

Will work in a union environment and will be required to join the local Teamsters Union Local 245 after 60 days of employment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee could be exposed to weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Employee will be required to wear safety shoes/boots while on duty.
