Clamco, a PAC Machinery company, manufactures bagging and shrink packaging systems. Clamco offers a full line of flexible packaging equipment, including Sealers, shrink tunnels, and automatic baggers. Clamco has a long-standing reputation for quality and can provide engineering expertise to assist with customizing products and systems.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Electro-Mechanical Assembler reports directly to the Production Supervisor. This role is responsible for assembling products and assemblies to customer specifications using BOMs, drawings, and schematics.
- Assemble electrical and electro-mechanical systems including wiring, soldering, and mechanical assembly
- Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, schematics, BOMs, and work orders
- Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Ensure that all products manufactured meet proper specifications and achieve superior quality and performance standards.
- Report problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials and labor to the Production Manager.
- Repair products returned by customers
- Identify and support continuous improvement efforts with the Production Supervisor
- Test functional performance of products and systems to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all equipment and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma (or equivalent).
- 3-5 years' experience in manufacturing electro-mechanical products, ability to wire panels using schematics and drawings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Highly motivated, organized, and self-directed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to kneel, stand, and squat consistently. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds is required and on occasion, may be required to lift more than 40 pounds. Must be able to operate in all areas of the Plant.
