Customer Logistics Director

Pacific International is retained on an exclusive search with a Fortune 100 who are a global leader in the automotive, mobility and materials industry. This role will be responsible for leading customer logistics for North America and the chosen candidate will be responsible for further transforming / advancing how they partner with customers to improve customer satisifcation, experience and loyalty as well as the overall logistics strategy and commercial roadmap.

This core leadership role will focus on growth, transformation and change for logistics, and will be a leader who is able to communicative effectively across and upwards in an organization.

The right candidate will have experience in a fast-paced, dynamic organization and ideally will have experience in the implementation of new technologies and advanced ways of working.

Your main responsibilities:

• Vision / Strategy: Having a expertise on the market and leading with a clear view of where the business, industry, and organization need to be in 3 to 5 years. Need a focus on the enterprise-wide strategy to align with those of the function and businesses.
• Transformation and change: Thought leadership for how technology is leveraged to drive transformation within the logistics teams utilizing an integrated approach
• Project management skills are also needed to drive these changes
• Talent / Team Development: Challenge the organization / team to evolve to higher levels of value and contribution through clearly defined objectives and prioritization of work.
• Company Leadership: Serve as a leading member of the Supply Chain Leadership Team. Work to connect the work of the functional organization within the Supply Chain organization.

Requirements:

• An undergraduate degree in Logistics or Engineering discipline; Masters-level degree preferred
• 10 years of experience in Logistics or Supply Chain
• Experience in creating and implementing strategies in a complex environment
• Experience partnering with customers on strategic initiatives and maximising relationships
• Change agent: ability to design for the future while managing day-to-day operations. Able to anticipate risks and propose tactical plans for mitigation.
