What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President Human Resources position at Pacific International Executive Search?
Pacific International are partnered with a leader in the food and beverage sector. The group is driving an operational excellence culture and entirely new standards are being created, in regard to safety, delivery and efficiency. With a new CEO creating high standards and new initiatives to keep them as market leaders, the organization is re-creating its processes and defining new expectations in all areas, one of which being the HR protocol and non negotiables.
With this, the organization is looking for a VP of HR to work across all of the plants regionally, driving the one best way and helping to innovate crucial operations such as payroll and auditing, but also create the cultural attitude and alignment towards HR practices and ways of working. Sitting at the organization's headquarters, you will lead the HR representatives at each site across a set of agile and 24/7 production facilities.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead HR teams to implement initiatives and programs and provide HR service in: labor relations, recruiting & staffing, employee relations, engagement & retention, performance management, employee development and training, organizational effectiveness, compensation, rewards and recognition, succession planning, health & welfare benefits, regulatory and company compliance, and Affirmative Action/EEO compliance.
- Improve existing processes such as payroll and auditing.
- With a continuous improvement mindset, support/facilitate organizational change initiatives
- Support the implementation of the HR playbook, setting the standard from day 1.
- Develop and implement initiatives to advance purpose-driven, inclusive, equitable, productive culture and drive diversity
- Analyze, Monitor, gain insights and create a key HR metric.
- Investigate and resolve employee conflicts, ombuds and Ethics hotline concerns. Consult with internal and external legal counsel as applicable on employment matters.
- Facilitate the implementation and strengthening of talent management practices to include performance management talent development, and succession planning.
- Ensure effective programs are in place onboard new employees, train existing employees, explain relevant compensation/benefit programs, facilitate off-boarding etc.
Requirements and Skills
- 10 years in HR, specifically in manufacturing with a minimum of 5 in leadership.
- 5 years direct experience in Labor Relations with administration of Union Labor agreement.
- Experience Managing and implementing HR initiatives, Affirmative Action Plans, Policies and Procedures.
- Strong Collaboration, consultative, presentation, and analytical skills.
- Strong organization and business communications skills (oral and written) are required
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Continuous Improvement certification a strong plus.
- A bachelors degree
