What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner (ARNP/APRN/NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) position at PAIN TREATMENT CENTER?
Practice Description: The Pain Treatment Center was founded by Stephen Pyles, MD in 1985 with the goal of providing quality and efficient diagnosis and treatment for patients suffering from chronic pain conditions. Most all chronic pain syndromes are treated at the Pain Treatment Center; however, the practice is primarily an "interventional" type of pain management practice with an emphasis on using neuro-modulation techniques such as peripheral nerve stimulation and spinal cord stimulation.
Position Summary: Work in collaboration with the attending physician(s). Obtain detailed medical histories, perform comprehensive physical examinations and order appropriate diagnostic testing. Interpret the results and develop and manage an appropriate treatment plan. Provide patients with ongoing medication management, prescribe appropriate medication(s) and address related problems and discrepancies that may arise. Perform minor procedures and/or be willing to learn and subsequently perform them. Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for patients and caregivers and collaborate effectively with team members. Stay current with developments in pain management including interventional procedures and surgical options.
Requirement:
- Current unrestricted Florida license
- Ability to be credentialed at area hospitals
Experience Preferred:
- One year of pain management, and
- One year as a practicing APRN or PA

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
