Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team in a fast-paced dental office environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for patients, and providing exceptional clerical support. This role requires proficiency in dental office procedures and familiarity with relevant software systems.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar efficiently.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including documentation review and updating information as necessary.
- Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries.
- Utilize Dentrix or similar dental software for record-keeping and scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
- Assist with clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth office operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist.
- Strong clerical skills, including 10 key typing proficiency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of dental office procedures and terminology is advantageous.
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is beneficial but not required.
