Driver/Crew Leader

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Crew Leader to oversee our team in delivering exceptional service and ensuring operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of heavy equipment operation, and the ability to manage various transportation tasks. This role is essential in coordinating daily activities while maintaining safety standards and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving and Transportation:
• Safely transport crew members and equipment to and from job sites.
• Maintain and ensure proper operation of the vehicle(s) used for transportation.
• Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
• Perform vehicle inspections and routine maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
• Crew Leadership:
• Lead and supervise a crew of landscapers, providing clear direction on daily tasks and projects.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure efficient completion of landscaping duties, including lawn care, planting, trimming, mulching, and more.
• Train new crew members on proper landscaping techniques, safety protocols, and company policies.
• Monitor the team’s performance, offering feedback and guidance to ensure high standards of work.
• Resolve any issues that arise on-site, maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Prioritize and enforce safety standards for both the crew and clients during all operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and local guidelines.
• Assess job site conditions and risks, implementing safety measures to avoid accidents or damage.
• Equipment Management:
• Oversee the safe use and maintenance of landscaping tools and equipment.
• Ensure that tools and supplies are properly stocked and transported to job sites.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
• Client Relations and Job Quality:
• Represent the company with professionalism and courtesy when interacting with clients.
• Ensure that landscaping tasks are performed according to client specifications and company standards.
• Provide updates to clients as needed regarding project progress and any concerns.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
