Responsibilities
- Perform client engagements from start to finish, which includes planning, executing, directing, and completing audit engagements
- Research and analyze financial statements and audit related issues using firm resources
- Work with engagement team to identify and resolve client issues discovered during the audit
- Ensure audit conclusions are based on a complete understanding of the process, circumstances, and risk
- Gain comprehensive understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives and leverage that knowledge on engagements
- Develop personally and professionally by being active in continuous learning, monitoring industry trends, and applying knowledge to client engagements
- Interact with key client management to gather information, resolve audit-related problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements
Requirements
- BS in Accounting required
- Minimum of public accounting internship or 1 years of audit and public accounting experience required
- Low-income housing experience strongly preferred
- Planned travel up to 24 nights; typically, only one night trips
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and deductive reasoning skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to communicate with clients of various sizes and in various industries
- Attention to accuracy and detail
- Ability to work independently and adapt to solve needs of many various clients in multiple industries
