Description
Job Summary:
The Paint Assistant is responsible for supporting the powder coating process by preparing materials, assisting with coating applications, and ensuring quality standards are met. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for powder coating, including cleaning, masking, and sanding.
- Assist with loading and unloading parts onto racks for coating and curing.
- Inspect coated parts for quality, ensuring smooth and even application.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety and environmental regulations.
- Follow all company policies and safety procedures.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to powder coating chemicals and high-temperature ovens.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Fast-paced and physically demanding work setting
Qualifications
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or coating environment is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic mechanical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team and follow instructions.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to various tasks.
