PNH medical/surgical and CCU is a team-oriented group with a focus on our individual team members. We care for people in our community because we are the community! “The Medical/Surgical and CCU is located on the second floor of Parkview Noble. The unit has 26 beds, 22 beds on M/S, 4 beds on CCU. Both sees patients with basic medical services and if they become progressive, they go to CCU. Our department gives nurses a chance to exercise and develop a wide range of skills both technical and interpersonal.
Summary:
Responsible for assisting Registered Nurses with care and assessment all age groups within the Standard of Care set by Parkview Health System and Indiana Nurse Practice Act.
Education:
Must be a graduate of a school of nursing. Must complete General Orientation, Patient Care Orientation, and unit specific orientation as provided and required.
Licensure/Certification:
Valid Indiana Licensed Practice Nurse license. Must have current CPR certification. Additional certifications may be required for specific areas. For Peds department, must have PALS within 6 months. ED at Randallia and PRMC: ACLS and PALS both required within 1 year. Randallia ED: NVCI required within 6 months. Current co-workers have until 11/5/2020 to obtain NVCI.
Experience:
Demonstrate experience in customer service, establishing priorities, and working independently.
Other Qualifications:
Must have good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and assist with 100 lbs.
