Roles & Responsibilities
The Food & Beverage Senior Supervisor is responsible for managing operations of one or more food and beverage (F&B) locations throughout Lake Compounce. The day-to-day responsibilities of this role include overseeing assigned Food & Beverage team members, food safety and sanitation, guest service, food preparation, monitoring financial transactions, and quality controls. This position also participates in the scheduling, timekeeping, reporting and training activities for the Food & Beverage department, to ensure a smooth and safe daily operation.

Role & Responsibilities

- Performs opening and closing procedures of assigned unit(s) including food preparation and cleanup.
- Practices, teaches and enforces proper food safety guidelines adhering to company policy and state/local Health Department requirements.
- Maintains all alcohol safety practices when applicable.
- Acts as an approachable mentor and a coach to Food & Beverage team members
- Assists with recruitment, hiring, and orientation of new catering team members, as needed
- Trains team members on how to safely and successfully perform their jobs
- Participates in coaching, counseling, and write up sessions for team members who face escalated disciplinary action
- Maintains compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe environment for colleagues and guests.
- Ensures that all team members are taking their breaks in accordance with Connecticut laws.
- Assists with team scheduling to ensure that the Food & Beverage operations are properly staffed
- Assists with timekeeping for hourly team members
- Manages a smooth rotation of team members throughout the day.
- Handles and resolves escalated guest concerns and criticisms with a positive attitude to deescalate.
- Oversees quality controls and production of food items.
- Manages inventory, focusing on portion and waste controls.
- Interfaces with warehouse on product and supply needs.
- Interfaces with maintenance on all equipment or physical plant needs.
- Other duties assigned as needed.

Education And Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred; Equivalent work experience will also be considered
- 2-3 years of previous work experience in food service, quick service, or restaurant setting
- 1 previous supervisory experience a plus, preferably in a food or restaurant setting
- Previous amusement park, theme park, or waterpark experience a plus
- Must become Food Handler Safety Certified (ServSafe or similar) or become so within 90 days of hire, when required by state and local guidelines.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with Connecticut Child Labor Laws
- Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must have negative TB test results within the last 2 years
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work for your scheduled shift
- Ability to comply with all uniform policies
- Ability to lead and motivate assigned teams of F&B employees
- Must be able to roll-up sleeves and assist with all F&B-related positions to ensure continuous and successful operation
- Must possess excellent customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner
- Must be able to speak with guests directly when other F&B leadership is not present
- Must remain focused on compliance with all state and local F&B safety regulations
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations, meet the demands of constant deadlines and coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

- Previous experience with Point of Sale (POS) technology and PCI compliance preferred

- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor setting for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and elements including the direct sun with no shade, cold, rain, snow, ice, dust, and all other outdoor weather elements
- Ability to withstand heat and humidity in the various food stands and restaurants
- Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 30 pounds or more.
- This role will primarily be based in one or more food stall and/or restaurant locations, with some exposure to other outdoor areas of the park
- Some sedentary motion may be required, while sitting/standing and using computer or POS equipment
- Exposure to the variable outside and inside temperatures, including high heat, cold, humidity, dust, rain, and other weather conditions
- Subject to constant repetitive motion
- Fast-paced environment with constantly shifting priorities and challenges
