The Rides Supervisor will assist in the supervision of the rides team members working throughout the amusement park. This position directly supports the Rides Manager with efficient operation of the department which provides a positive guest experience. This position’s duties include -- but are not limited to -- assisting with the management of the department, supervising, monitoring, and attending to park rides, including boarding, securing passengers, operating rides, and ensuring passengers exit safely. This position will also conduct daily audits to ensure sure the park’s safety and operating policies are being properly followed.

Roles And Responsibilities
- Maintains a vast knowledge of a group of rides in a designated zone of the park and be able to step in at an attraction when necessary
- Supervises and lead a team of ride operators, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, supported, and adhering to safety and operational protocols
- Inspire ride operators by creating a positive and energetic atmosphere where safety and guest satisfaction are top priorities
- Ensures that attractions open and close at the proper times established by the operational needs of the day
- Provides direct support to other rides team members by making rounds throughout the park to check on their needs
- Acts as a mentor and coach to less experienced rides team members
- Oversees the daily placement for each team member.
- Conducts the training of rides team members
- Completes training documentation with team members
- Able to work open to close when the position requires
- Assist with timekeeping for hourly rides employees
- Ensure breaks are given in a timely manner
- Administer discipline to team members as needed
- Maintains a vast knowledge of all the rides in the park and can jump in to assist or operate when necessary
- Politely listens to guest feedback and complaints and communicates them to the Rides Director as needed
- Provides coverage so that team members may take bathroom breaks
- Monitors the radio to listen for other areas they may be needed
- Enforces Park policies, ride restrictions and ride recommendations
- Ensures safe operation of the ride by always adhering to standard operating procedures and established trainings
- Maintains a sense of calm in tense, escalated or emergency situations
- Ability to perform all the essential functions for ride operators and attendants
- Reports ride related issues and failures to management promptly
- Completes nightly reports including labor hours and damage logs
- Maintains constant vigilance to proactively identify potential hazards and informs park leadership of any concerns
- Protects guest belongings, turns in lost and found items as soon as time allows
- Cooperates with other departments to provide a positive guest experience
- Promptly notifies the security team or the park operator of team member and guest injuries or emergencies
- Completes additional duties as assigned by managers or directors
- There is no minimum education requirement.
- 1 years of previous supervisory experience desired
- 1 season of work experience in the Rides Department is required. Previous ride operation experience from other Amusement/Theme Park employers will also be considered
- All Rides Team Members must go through the International Ride Operator Certification (iROC) course as a part of the training. Successful course completion is required for this position. There is no cost to the team member for the course.

- Exposure to the variable outside and inside temperatures, including high heat, direct sunlight, cold, humidity, dust, rain, and other weather condition
