Social Media Intern-Position Summary
The Social Media Intern will report to the Director, Partner Experience and Communications and play a key role in capturing and creating engaging content for Participate Learning's social media platforms, communities of practice, and other purposes. This internship is ideal for individuals passionate about video creation and editing, digital storytelling, content creation, and global education. The intern will focus on gathering real-time content at summer events, producing high-quality videos, and collaborating with the team to visually showcase the impact of Participate Learning's programs.
This internship is ideal for individuals passionate about video and content creation. Within a fast-paced business environment, this role offers hands-on experience in the international education and J-1 cultural exchange sectors.
Essential Functions
- Capture high-quality photo and video content at summer events to highlight Participate Learning's mission and initiatives.
- Create, edit, and produce short-form video content optimized for social media platforms (Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Bluesky, and Facebook) and online communities of practice.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining a digital asset library of media collected at events.
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to ensure visual content aligns with Participate Learning's brand identity.
- Stay informed about trends in video creation and social media content to bring fresh, creative ideas to the team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
