Job Title: Executive Director


Reports to: Board of Directors


Status: Exempt


Position Overview


The Executive Director leads the growth and development of the Partnership Health Center. With the staff and the Board of Directors, the Executive Director creates and implements programs and services that address medical and dental health in South Georgia.  


The Executive Director must be a collaborative, emotionally intelligent leader with proven skills in managing staff teams; a track record of successful fundraising results; an understanding of and the ability to engage with community partners to deliver services; experience in building and implementing strategic and tactical plans; and the proven ability to build relationships and represent the Partnership Health Center in the counties it serves.


The Executive Director must provide dynamic leadership with the capacity to embrace change and creatively disrupt the provision of medical and dental services to uninsured individuals between the ages of 18-64.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  1. Provide leadership and direction to the organization’s staff to ensure the continued development and effective management of an efficient organization.
  2. Maintain effective partnerships with supporters and community organizations that enable the health center’s work.
  3. Collaborate with the Board and staff to develop, refine and implement strategic and tactical plans; lead implementation and ensure monitoring of the strategic and tactical plans.
  4. Direct the day-to-day business and financial affairs of the organization and implement methods to achieve long-term financial sustainability.
  5. Assure that all plans, budgets, and performance objectives for individual staff positions and board committees are aligned with organizational plans.
  6. Establish and maintain an operating environment that assures success through collaboration with employees and board members and integration of viable ideas into plans and organizational structure.
  7. Assure that first-rate talent is recruited, selected, and hired at all levels of the organization; provide clear direction on standards, performance objectives, and desired results; establish accountability methods; assure the professional development of employees and certification of employees in their field of work (where appropriate).
  8. Achieve fundraising results, assuring proper staffing of the fundraising function, and soliciting existing and potential donors and funders.
  9. Represent the organization in its relationships with media, community leaders, other nonprofits, coalitions, businesses, civic organizations, funders, and partners.
  10. Devise and implement traditional and social media (digital) marketing plans to ensure a high profile for the organization.
  11. Report regularly to the Board of Directors on the organization’s progress against plans and its financial condition; make recommendations about the future of the organization; and stay abreast of trends that may impact on that future.
  12. Ensure that all activities of the organization comply with federal, state, and local statutes and regulations.
  13. Other duties as required by the organization.


Required Experience, Knowledge, and Background

 

  • 10 years of successful, culturally sensitive leadership experience in a complex, multi-faceted organization
  • Depth of relationships in South Georgia
  • Experience in collaborating with other organizations
  • In-depth knowledge in the fields of health and dental care delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to manage day-to-day business operations
  • A track record of success in securing financial resources for a nonprofit
  • Experience in persuasively and effectively representing an organization
  • Ability to work independently, administrative self-sufficiency
  • Problem-solving capability
  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
