What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Security System Social Services Manager position at Pascua Yaqui Tribe?
The Food Security System Social Services Program Manager reports directly to the Director of the Social Services Division and to the Deputy Director of the Social Services Division. The incumbent is chiefly responsible for operating all adult services programming in coordination with the children services programming. The nature of this position calls for an implementation approach that is evidence-based and that operationally confirms with the five pillars of the evidence based organizational (EBO) development framework and practice to include: leadership development, strategic planning, program review and outcomes evaluation, organizational culture development, and sustainability.
AND
- Assist the Division Director and Deputy to develop evidence-based organization framework and practice programs with fidelity to the EBO framework and practice.
- Supervise staff, prioritize and assign work, conduct performance evaluations, ensure staff is trained, ensure that employees follow policies and procedures, maintain a healthy and safe working environment, and, make hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations where needed.
- Develop, recommend, and implement procedures for assigned program; review and evaluate current procedures, goals, and objectives for compliance with established guidelines and regulations.
- Participate in the ongoing adult and children services program operations meeting, and generally ensure that case staffing are facilitated correctly by coordinating with adult/children teams and participate in committees, one-on-one meetings, case review staffings, ensure program compliance, and make recommendations regarding services or referrals.
- Review client and patients file records; ensure forms and documents comply with operational policies and procedures and meet program auditing standards.
- Manage and maintain administrative budget for assigned area; ensure expenditures and revenue reports are correct; prepare revisions as needed, as well as participate in budgeting exercises within a strategic budgeting implementation approach.
- Prepare monthly reports on staff activities, client progress, and program activities; collect activity logs and analyzes statistical information for presentation in reports.
- Perform liaison activities, coordinate activities with other Tribal departments, and external agencies; act as a representative of the department.
- Assist the Social Services Director and Deputy Director to implement and operationalize adult and children system of care integration and track attending outcomes.
- Ensure that complaint and grievance procedure for clients are developed, maintained, and hold initial grievance meetings as needed.
- Chair weekly program development and implementation meetings with the adult services supervisory and lead staff team program unit team (s).
- Perform other duties of a similar nature or level as requested by supervisor or director.

- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona Driver’s License;
- This position will require the incumbent to work non-traditional hours, nights, and weekend
- Must have a current Level 1 Arizona Clearance Card or be able to obtain the Level 1 Arizona Clearance Card within ninety (90) days of hire. Failure to maintain a current Level 1 Clearance Card will result in termination
