Job Description:
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at PatientsLikeMe (PLM), you will be at the forefront of our sales and marketing efforts, driving business growth by identifying potential clients and setting up initial meetings for our sales leadership. You will play a pivotal role in executing PLM’s outbound strategy to raise awareness of our products and build and nurture relationships with high-value prospects. This role offers a unique opportunity for an early-career professional to develop critical marketing and sales skills in a customer-facing position central to our Go-To-Market Strategy. Your contributions will be essential in driving growth as PLM launches new product offerings into the market. You will work closely with leadership at the intersection of sales, marketing, and product development, providing a comprehensive learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Identify prospects that are struggling with priority issues solved by PLM’s core product offerings.
- Work with leadership to develop messaging that effectively strategically positions PLM’s solutions to address these ‘up at night’ issues for prospects.
- Conduct proactive outreach to prospects through various channels, including phone calls, emails, and social media, to generate interest in PLMs solutions.
- Coordinate and schedule initial calls with prospects for the PLM sales team.
- Collaborate closely with PLM leadership to develop and execute targeted outreach campaigns.
- Manage and track lead activity, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information in our CRM.
- Continuously feed information back to our internal teams to help leadership refine our positioning in the market.
- Partner with sales and marketing leadership to continuously refine and optimize processes to produce sustainable results over time.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Self-starter with a results-driven mindset and desire to learn new skills, building towards a career in sales or marketing.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a knack for building rapport and fostering relationships.
- Resilient, able to handle rejection or ghosting from prospects without taking it personally.
- Experience using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a plus but not required.
- Experience and knowledge of the pharma industry is a plus but not required.
Location: This position will be based in Boston at our office at 131 Dartmouth Street. The candidate will have a flexible work schedule, with the expectation that you will be in the office at least 3 times a week.
