Reports to: Head of School
Hours: 8-12 hours/week
Position Overview:
The primary purpose of the school psychologist is to complete all evaluations required by IDEA and be an active member of the evaluation team.
Responsibilities/duties include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct evaluations including cognitive, memory, adaptive, behavioral/social-emotional, among others.
- Serve as a member of the evaluation teams.
- Review and share results of outside clinical psychological and neurological assessments.
- Provide recommendations for IEP accommodations and modifications.
- Provide consultation with teachers, administrators, and parent/caregivers.
- Liaise between outside agencies related to student services, as needed.
Qualifications
- Current Rhode Island School Psychologist certificate and license required
- Master's degree from an accredited university
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, preferred
- Experience is preferred but not necessary for hiring
