With a 50-year track record of innovation and a strong presence across North America, our client is seeking a Controls Specialist to join their collaborative team in Rock Hill, SC.
About Our Client : A well-established specialty chemicals and environmental solutions company that designs and manufactures state-of-the-art wastewater treatment systems for major manufacturers in the aerospace, automotive, and metal finishing industries. Their solutions help customers meet environmental standards while achieving sustainability goals.
The Opportunity : The Controls Specialist will take ownership of designing and implementing control systems for industrial wastewater treatment projects. This role combines electrical engineering, AutoCAD design, and PLC / HMI programming to deliver complete automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design complete electrical systems including panel layouts, motor sizing, and pump configurations using AutoCAD Electrical
- Develop PLC programs using Allen Bradley / Rockwell platforms (RSLogix 500 / 5000, Studio 5000)
- Create operator interfaces using FactoryTalk View and Panel View
- Generate comprehensive technical documentation including electrical schematics and PLC memory maps
- Collaborate with manufacturing and field service teams to ensure design intent is achieved
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for customer systems
- Manage multiple projects while handling occasional support requests
