Payment Operations Lead

The Payment Operations Lead oversees daily operations and leads payment operations projects. This role involves collaborating with multiple internal stakeholders and team members (locally or at international company locations) to plan and execute strategic projects as well as working with multiple third-party payment providers. Responsibilities include optimizing payment processing workflows, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and managing cross-company initiatives.

This role will be based in our New York, NY office.

What you'll do:

• Day-to-day Payment Operations: Maintaining consistent and high-level execution of daily tasks related to payment processing, ensure smooth processing of various payment methods and streamline internal operational workflows
• Project Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Product, Compliance, Legal and Finance on key payment-related projects
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data analytics tools to monitor and analyze payment trends, identify anomalies, and recommend strategies for improvement of payment operations.
• Incident Investigation: Detect and escalate payment-related problems and complex issues, while taking ownership of the resolution process

What we're looking for:

• 3 years of experience in the online/mobile payments industry or a relevant fintech company.
• Experience with payment operations in a dynamic environment; B2B payments experience is an advantage.
• Familiarity with card schemes and card payment terminology.
• Strong understanding of payment systems, technologies, and industry best practices.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to combine business understanding, compliance needs, and payment operations mechanisms to solve day-to-day and strategic challenges.
• Capable of leading and managing complex initiatives or processes end-to-end while building interfaces within many groups, both inside and outside the organization.
• High attention to detail, with the ability to manage low-level process planning and execution.
• Strong analytical and operational skills, enthusiastic and diligent.
• Highly motivated and passionate, with strong engagement skills and a sense of responsibility to take ownership of your work

In accordance with New York City Law, below is the annual base salary range for this position. Actual annual base salary is based on, but not limited to: experience, education, professional licenses, location and business needs. The position is eligible for health insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, 401k plan, paid-time off, and sick (and where applicable safe) leave. This position is also eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus.

The annual base salary range for this position is: $85,000 - $100,000.
