As a Systems Engineer, the purpose of this role will be to ensure sound delivery of technical services for new and existing clients. You will be part of a team supporting a hosted environment that delivers hosted services to thousands of users across our competitive marketplace. You will be providing a mixture of preventative support as well as integration activity around Windows Server environment, VMWare, Hyper-V and more. You will be looked upon as a subject matter expert and advocate to fellow team members making reliable technical decisions around supporting and deploying soundly engineered services and complex systems that run some of our customers’ business critical systems.

PTO Accrual Schedule:
PTO Accrual Schedule will follow these rates after 90 days of employment:
- 90 days from date of hire to 3 years – 10 days (3.34 hours per pay period)
- 3 years to 5 years – 15 days (5 hours per pay period)
- Over 5 years – 20 days (6.67 hours per pay period)
BASE PAY AND COMPENSATION:
The Systems Engineer (III) will receive an hourly wage starting at $39.91 per hour up to $47.60 per hour. This position is a full-time position and may be required to work some weekends and holidays as needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and monitor all network, security and computer systems to meet the organization's current and future requirements
- Responsible for management, maintenance and architecture of storage, virtualized environment, servers, network devices, and productivity tools
- Monitor systems and identify performance issues proactively
- Perform Disaster Recovery functions for supported clients
- Work within strict time frames and elevate incidents within defined timeframes
- Test all changes to networks, hardware, software, and hosted applications
- Monitors service delivery compliance with budget, quality standards and customer and business stakeholder requirements
- Cater to doing infrastructure coordination related to design and setup activities at different stages of a project including discovery sessions
- Constructively work with various vendors, suppliers, distributors, contract consultants and service providers to ensure a productive environment
- Resolve issues and prepare status reviews and reports for review by NOC/Support Manager monthly
- Professionally represent the infrastructure team as a technical consultant on projects.
- Maintain the necessary project plans and documentation of all system builds and modifications
- Execution and conclusion of projects on time and/or successful management of client expectations when targets cannot be met
- Maintain a good working knowledge of current infrastructure and future trends
- Maintain good working relationships with all service providers and vendors to ensure that services received meet the expected requirements of contract
- Daily time entry accounting for at least 8 hours in the form of Resolution Notes in Service Tickets
- Contribute to a personal on-going commitment of self-training to preserve professional viability
- Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of systems software procurement and development efforts
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS SUMMARY:
Due to the nature of this position, in working as closely with multiple departments and their core business unit, this position is unable to be performed by a remote employee. As there is no concession available for a remote employee, no requests made to convert this position to remote or work-from-home status will be considered, without exception.
Work in this environment is considered medium physical work requiring the exertion of up to forty (40) pounds of force occasionally and up to twenty (20) pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Must be able to:
- Walk, lift, reach, stoop, sit, squat, bend, stand, grasp, balance, climb, kneel, crouch and type for extended periods of time up to 10 hours.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Engineer with a minimum of four (4) years of experience, within an MSP in a Network Admin/System Admin position.
- Minimum four (4) years’ experience - Active Directory Support, Microsoft Windows and Windows Server Support, Microsoft Exchange Support
- Minimum four (4) years’ experience - Switching/VLAN/Routing/Firewalling Support
- Minimum four (4) years’ experience - Server Hardware Technologies (CPU/RAID/SCSI) Support
- Minimum four (4) years’ experience - Data Backup and Recovery Support, Corporate Antivirus Support, VPN Connectivity Support
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
- Experience supporting hybrid datacenter environments such as cloud or software-defined datacenters
- Advanced knowledge of VMware VCenter, ESXi, and Horizon
- Advanced knowledge of converged and hyper-converged server/storage environments
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft technologies and relevant certification (Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect/DevOps Engineer Expert).
- Experience managing Microsoft Cloud technologies (Office 365, Azure)
- Ability to work on small and large projects with great attention to detail
- Work effectively with staff in a team-oriented environment with a positive, can-do attitude
- Adept in developing and maintaining strong relationships with management, staff, vendors, and clients
- Exhibit a high degree of professionalism, balanced business judgment, tact, and diplomacy
- Excellent problem-solving skills
