What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Service Advisor position at Peach State Federal Credit Union?
Summary:
To complete DocuSign and Real Estate loan closings for Branches and Loans by Phone; complete loan audits and request corrections; process and make loan disbursements; assist members with their loan applications and loan closings; respond to loan issues, and direct members to the appropriate departments.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Complete Docusign and Real Estate loan closings including completing the loan audit to ensure all necessary corrections are made prior to the loan closing.
- Disburse loan closing packages through DocuSign ensuring the member has been verified, ID Check is completed, and all documents are signed before disbursing the loan.
- Support the Loans by Phone Center as a back up LBP Specialist as needed. This includes taking member phone calls, processing applications and answering lending questions. Assists the Loans by Phone center with escrow and HMDA documents.
- Files loan documents with the appropriate agencies after loan closing.
- Facilitates professional relationships with all vendors specific to loan processing.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements:
- To produce loan documents in a timely fashion, with zero errors.
- To close, organize and complete member loan files within 3 business days.
- To process loan request and have in the system so that we may have an answer within 24 hours of receipt.
- To maintain a working knowledge of the credit union's loan standards and governmental regulations.
- To cross sell credit union products and services.
- To maintain a professional, courteous, and friendly atmosphere for members and co-workers.
- To provide prompt, accurate, courteous, friendly, timely and professional service to all members.
- To develop and improve knowledge and skills in the Loan by Phone area.
- Ability to work proactively and independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to operate loan processing system and other software need to complete job functions.
- Knowledge of consumer lending policies, products and services.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience: Two to five years of similar or related experience.
- Education: A high school education or GED.
- Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
- Other Skills: Must have good communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. NMLS registration will be required. If you are not currently registered, PSFCU will register you.
