Job Summary :

We are seeking a dedicated Peer-to-Peer Specialist to provide support, mentorship, and advocacy for individuals navigating [mental health / substance use / housing / employment / etc.]. As someone with lived experience, you will foster trust and empowerment, offering guidance based on shared experiences.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide one-on-one peer support to individuals, helping them navigate challenges and access resources.
  • Share personal experiences in a way that promotes hope and resilience.
  • Assist clients in setting goals and developing action plans.
  • Maintain records and document interactions in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with case managers, clinicians, and other support professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications :

  • Lived experience in [mental health recovery, substance use recovery, homelessness, etc.].
  • Certification as a Peer Specialist (or willingness to obtain if required by state / organization).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships and maintain confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with local resources and support networks.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
