Reporting to the Senior Manager of Retail Marketing, the Associate Marketing Manager will support the overall management of Peet’s & Caribou product categories within Office Coffee and Foodservice “Proudly Pouring” accounts. This position is part strategy, category management, innovation, and tactical implementation, all of which will drive sales and deliver business objectives. This is a full-time, exempt position and is based at Peet’s Emeryville, CA headquarters.ResponsibilitiesReports to the Senior Manager, Retail Marketing in the development of strategic menu directions across core categories for growth, customer engagement and overall profitabilityManages new or limited-edition product launches and initiatives from ideation through the commercialization processCollaborates with cross functional partners across creative, R&D, supply chain and operations teams to support the development and deployment of campaignsSupports category development tools to manage the overall SKU assortment and pricing in the away-from-home channelDevelops and refines consumer insights and supports consumer research across product categories to understand and explain consumer wants and needsPulls and analyzes sales data to evaluate program and product campaigns to report on results and identify opportunities for growthCascades retail and AFH email communications to provide regular key updates to field team, identifying action steps if applicableCollaborates with Sales on marketing support tools and Trade Show planningQualificationsMinimum 2 years of marketing or product management experience, preferably with top-tier foodservice or food / beverage industry experienceProject management experience working within a new product development process for food or beverages including a familiarity navigating Stage Gate modelsProven ability to drive results with a high degree of personal initiative & integrity in a fast paced, dynamic environmentStrong ability to build and maintain highest-quality cross functional partnershipsProven ability to successfully plan and manage projects with a close attention to detail and high level of organizationExcellent problem solving, communication, presentation, analytical and process building skillsAbility to self-motivate and motivate others to accomplish goalsBachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field of study; Master’s degree a plusAt Peet’s we hire the best people and are committed to supporting our employees and rewarding them for their work. The target annual base salary range for this position is $85K - $98K . The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and / or from which they will perform the job.
