Collections Officer
The Collections Officer is responsible for all collections duties pertaining to Abeka, Pensacola Christian College, Pensacola Christian Academy, and the Abeka Fund. Other responsibilities include providing financial advising for PCC students and overseeing the PCC Cares Fund.
Oversee Operations
Establish policies, procedures, and best practices for performing loss mitigation and recovery activities regarding delinquent or charged-off accounts. Oversee all collection activities and refer accounts to collection agencies as required.
Ensure Accuracy
Check for accuracy in all records. Oversee processes and quality control for payment processing, ledger adjustments, itemizations, and opening and closing accounts.
Manage Scheduling and Policies
Schedule the optimal number of staff to efficiently meet fluctuating customer demand while minimizing periods of low labor. Execute policies, procedures, and best practices for establishing and monitoring acceptable credit limits and payment terms for school accounts.
Develop Department Employees
Onboard new Collections staff by recruiting, assigning, and training employees. Develop the department through coaching, counseling, and directing employees. Plan, monitor, and appraise job results. Seek continuous feedback from staff to improve the overall operation and working environment.
