Bookkeeper (AA) Associate in Accounting – Required or higher
Job Type: Part-Time Pay: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour
Work Location: Staten Island NY 10304 - In person

Job Description:
The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for the company. This includes recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and producing financial statements. This role requires attention to detail and familiarity with accounting software.

• Nonprofit accounting experience (required)

Key Responsibilities:

• Record financial transactions and updating ledgers.
• Reconcile bank statements and accounts.
• Prepare financial reports and summaries.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of work experience
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting preferred.
• Reconciling Bank Accounts, Journal Entries, Full Charge Bookkeeping.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
