Responsibilities

Peraton is hiring an Engineering Technician who will work on-call as needed. This will be an onsite position in Kings Bay, GA.

Candidate will report to Navy Marine Mammal Program (NMMP) Lab Operated Systems (LOS) Branch head and will be responsible for maintenance and upkeep of the NMMP installation at Naval Base Kings Bay GA. Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Construction, maintenance and repair of the in-water dolphin and sea lion pens and pier structures.
• Construction, maintenance, and repair of shore-based infrastructure to include:
  • Relocatable trailers
  • Permanent buildings
  • Outbuildings
  • Storage enclosures
  • Water treatment systems
  • Construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
  • Construction, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems
  • Ordering parts, equipment and supplies necessary to ensure smooth facility operation

Qualifications

Required Education Experience:

Requires HS diploma and 2-4 years of experience.

• Candidate should have (3) years construction experience with regards to residential and commercial buildings
• Must have good written and verbal communications skills.
• License: Valid forklift license must be obtained within 60 days of employment
• License: Valid driver’s license
• Microsoft Office Suit
• Candidate must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• The position requires the candidate to have an Active Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.

• Able to work alone without direction if needed
