Peraton is Hiring a Remote Requirements Analyst

Responsibilities:
Peraton is seeking a Requirements Analyst to support our Defense Mission and Health Solutions Sector on the Defense Travel System (DTS) program.
The DTS team is responsible for 1) developing and testing the Defense Travel System application and 2) operating and maintaining the system hardware to ensure that it functions per DoD requirements and specifications.
  • Must be US Citizen, and have active/current DoD Secret clearance, and Common Access Card or be able to obtain prior to starting.
  • This is a remote opportunity, but you must reside in the U.S. to be considered.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Work with other Analysts and the Customer to capture and translate high level functional, technical, and performance requirements into detailed acceptance criteria for epics / user stories in an Agile environment
  • Decompose high-level information into details; abstract low-level information; distinguish requests vs needs; distinguish requirements vs solutions
  • Communicate effectively in written and verbal communications coupled with strong listening skills
  • Follow documented procedures to maintain system documentation, requirements repository, and business rules repository, and other project documentation
  • Assist Deployment Leads, engineers, and other internal stakeholders with client facing activities to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives
  • Work with the development/scrum teams to ensure that they understand the requirements
  • Provide business area and technical expertise to management and stakeholders to facilitate planning, set direction, define business initiatives, and develop solutions to business information systems needs and requirements
  • Support all project phases from inception through completion
  • Be able to manage multiple assignments, changing priorities, and work independently with little oversight
  • Participate in the Agile ceremonies and interface with the Agile team(s) and other program staff as required
Qualifications:
  • BS 2-4 Years, MS 0-2 or HS 6 in leiu of degree
  • US Citizen, Ability to obtain a Common Access Card
  • Must have current/active DoD Secret celarance and or be able to obtain prior to start
  • 2 years’ experience in an agile environment
  • 2 years’ experience as a requirement’s analyst
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Ability to break down technical specifications into lower-level requirements and business rules/stories
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills and detail-oriented
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate complex technical ideas to audiences with varied technical backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications:
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
  • A proven record of completing assigned tasks and other commitments on schedule and as planned
  • Knowledge of Identity, Credential, and Access Management concepts
  • Knowledge of cloud architecture and security
  • Knowledge of DoD Accounting rules and processes
  • Knowledge of DoD Travel policy and/or travel industry
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Micro Focus ALM/Quality Center for defect, requirements and verification management
  • Experience creating detailed reports and presenting information
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Visio and Power-Point
