Position Overview:
As a Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of our multi-function devices at specific customer sites. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining MFDs while delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service and Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on multi-function devices including printers, copiers, scanners, and fax machines.
- Customer Interaction: Engage with customers in a professional and friendly manner to understand their issues and provide effective solutions.
- Technical Support: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues related to MFDs. Provide guidance and support for any device-related queries.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all service activities, including diagnostics, repairs, and parts ordered.
- Preventative Measures: Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend the life of MFDs.
- Training and Education: Educate customers on proper use and maintenance of their equipment to prevent future issues.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Help Desk and Account management team to ensure customer satisfaction and timely resolution of issues.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electronics, IT, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience as a service technician, particularly with MFDs, is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of MFD hardware and software. Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electronic devices.
- Customer Service: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel to various customer sites as required.
- After Hours: Available to be included in rotating (within team) after-hours on-call schedule.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Company Vehicle Provided
Preferred Requirements
- 6 years in technical customer environment
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift weight up to 50 pounds
- Ability to move large equipment (copiers, faxes, printers) on wheels
- Ability to stand and/or walk up to 2/3 of the time working

Salary : $45,000 - $52,000
