What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tire Technician position at Peri & Sons Farms?
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of tires on a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment. Your expertise will contribute to ensuring the safety and optimal performance of vehicles by delivering high-quality tire services. Some of the job functions include:
Mounting, balancing, and rotating tires on cars, trucks, and other vehicles.
- Installing new wheels
- Inspecting tires for damage, wear, and proper inflation.
- Repairing punctures and other tire-related issues.
- Assisting customers in selecting appropriate tires based on their vehicle and driving needs.
- Operating tire-related machinery and equipment.
- Maintaining accurate records of tire services provided through Assetworks by creating work orders to document labor, parts, and vehicle repairs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- TIA Certification (preferred)
- Able to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
- Ability to work inside and outside in various weather conditions.
- Proven experience as a Tire Technician or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of tire types, sizes, and specifications.
- Familiarity with tire installation and repair techniques.
- Ability to use tire-related tools and equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
- Strong communication skills that allow you to communicate effectively with the team, and other department.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employees regularly duties require the following physical skills and work environment. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lifting heavy tires, and using hand and power tools. Ability to frequently stoop, bend, twist and kneel. Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 75 lbs. Ability to perform sustained and vigorous activities in a variety of environments, temperatures, and weather conditions. Exposure to grease, oils, lubricants, and fuels. Specific vision required to perform this job includes close vision and the ability to adjust focus. It is required to possess the ability to travel regularly to all facilities via air and/or automobile. Other physical demands may be required of this position.
Compensation:
