What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floating Medical Assistant position at Perlman Clinic?
Perlman Clinic is seeking a full-time covering medical assistant to work in our busy primary/urgent care offices. The Medical Assistant must be able to work in a fast paced environment that includes tasks from multiple providers. Qualified candidates will have a diploma in medical assisting and at least one year of clinical experience in medical assisting.
Medical Assistant responsibilities include: project management, insurance verifications (PPO's and HMO's), answering multi-phone line system, vitals, phlebotomy, charting, checking patients in and out, collecting copays, inventory management, referrals and scheduling. Covering medical assistants work a set schedule, providing both front and back office support when needed in one of our clinic locations. If coverage is not needed on a given day, covering medical assistants assist with administrative tasks and patient calls in our corporate office's call center.
Candidates must be able to arrange reliable transportation to different clinic locations.
