ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES SUPERVISOR (HOUSEKEEPING)

Job Summary:

We are looking for an Environmental Services Supervisor to lead our team and ensure we provide

excellent customer service.

Environmental Services Supervisor responsibilities include organizing employee shifts, training and

motivating team members and checking private and public areas for tidiness. To be successful in this role,

you should have a good understanding of sanitation regulations and team management abilities.

Ultimately, you will help ensure daily environmental services operations run smoothly and that guests are

satisfied.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· Training environmental services team on cleaning tasks

· Overseeing staff performance on a daily basis

· Checking rooms and common areas, including stairways and lounge areas, for cleanliness

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Schedule shifts and arrange for replacements in cases of absence

· Establish and educate staff on cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene standards

· Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job

· Respond to customer complaints and special requests

· Monitor and replenish cleaning products stock including floor cleaner, bleach and rubber gloves

· Participate in large cleaning projects as required

· Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas

· Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

· Adheres to facility’s Standards of Excellence.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Work experience as an Environmental Services Supervisor or similar role

· Hands-on experience with cleaning in an Hospital environment

· Ability to use industrial cleaning equipment and products

· Excellent organizational and team management skills

· Stamina to handle the physical demands of the job.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or GED required.

· Previous cleaning experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to walk, stand, bend, and reach consistently throughout a work day/shift• Ability to lift up to

· 25lbs, safely, from ground to waist using proper body mechanics

· Ability to carry office supplies up to 10lbs

· Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people and

· understand written direction

· Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions
