Here's the stuff you need to know:
We're looking for someone over the age of 18 to fill a full time position. You must be fanatical about pets and their care. You must be comfortable conversing with people, sometimes at length. There is a steep learning curve to this job, so if you do not have a vested interest in learning about natural pet food, do not apply. Your responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to: discussing the nutritional needs of customer's pets and making recommendations, ringing up sales, cleaning, organizing, stocking, checking in deliveries, etc. The position will have you working evenings and weekends, open to close shifts. Please note, the ability to lift and carry 40lbs ad nauseam is a requirement. You also must be able to think and problem-solve on your feet while communicating with customers. Go to www.petbarn.net for store hours and to read what we're all about.
Pay rate is determined based on experience and relevant knowledge.
Only applicants who answer all four screener questions will be considered. Failure to do so will result in immediate disqualification. Cover letters are strongly encouraged. The cover letter doesn't need to be anything crazy or complicated. We're looking for people who really love animals and who want to work here because they're passionate about pets and their care and health.
