Process Development Technician
Summary:
The Purification Process Development (PPD) group is responsible for developing robust and efficient purification processes of recombinant proteins and other biological therapeutics from early to late stage of development. It also optimizes processes for scale up, facility fit and transfer technologies.
The candidate would work with key scientists in a fast- paced laboratory environment to develop or optimize process steps and solve problems for a wide variety of biotherapeutic constructs. The principal established technologies the candidate may contribute to include cell removal, chromatography, viral clearance and ultrafiltration, while targeting high purity and high yield processes.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with colleagues to support product development optimization and understand analytical tools to assess and interpret experimental data
- Maintain written records (electronic lab notebooks and databases) of all experimental work in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices
- Work with key scientists in a fast-paced laboratory environment to develop or optimize process steps and solve problems for a wide variety of biotherapeutic constructs
- Assist with cell removal, chromatography, viral clearance, and ultrafiltration, while targeting high purity and high yield processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry or other related discipline
- A minimum of 0-3 years of experience in a related field
- A minimum of 1-2 years of Column Chromatography experience required
- Experience with bioprocess technology and in biologics purification using chromatographic and filtration techniques is required
- Familiarity with laboratory process development equipment for chromatography (ATKA) and supporting software such as Unicorn is preferred
- Strong organizational skills, good lab safety awareness and effective oral and written communication skills

- This is a fully onsite role in Andover, MA
- Monday - Friday; 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
